How does an EMS foot massage mat work?
EMS stands for electrical muscle stimulation. The two conductive fabric footprints send low-frequency electrical pulses through the soles of your feet: the muscles in your feet and calves contract and then relax, with no effort on your part. You set the rhythm (6 modes) and the strength (15 levels).
What do you feel during the session?
Light tingling at low intensity, then small rhythmic contractions under your feet, which you can feel up into your calves as you increase the level. The sensation should remain clear but comfortable: if it becomes unpleasant, lower the intensity with the “−” button.
I can't feel anything, is that normal?
Check that you are barefoot, with one foot on each footprint, and that the remote control is properly clipped onto its two snap buttons. Very dry skin conducts the pulses poorly: slightly moisten the soles of your feet, then increase the intensity step by step.
How long does a session last, and how often?
A session lasts 15 minutes: the device switches off automatically. One or two sessions a day are enough, for example after exercise or in the evening. Start with low intensities for the first few days.
