Mandatory legal notices

This extended warranty is a commercial warranty as defined by articles L217-21 to L217-24 of the French Consumer Code. It is offered and managed directly by Le Sport Français. It does not constitute an insurance contract.

It is in addition to the legal warranties you benefit from free of charge and by right, and in no case replaces them:

Legal warranty of conformity (articles L217-3 and following of the Consumer Code)
The consumer has a period of two years from the delivery of the goods to obtain the implementation of the legal warranty of conformity in the event that a lack of conformity appears. During this period, the consumer is only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity and not the date of its appearance. They may choose between repair or replacement of the goods, subject to the cost conditions provided for in article L217-12. The legal warranty of conformity applies at no cost to the consumer.

Legal warranty against hidden defects (articles 1641 and following of the Civil Code)
The seller is bound by the warranty for hidden defects of the item sold which render it unfit for the use for which it was intended, or which so diminish this use that the buyer would not have acquired it, or would have paid a lower price for it, had they known of them. This warranty allows for a refund of the item or a price reduction, within a period of two years from the discovery of the defect.
