Question 1

En cours: how do I choose the right model?

Accepted Answer

Start from how you actually train: training frequency, session intensity and setting (gym, outdoors, home) determine most of the choice on their own. Within the En cours category, then look at three concrete criteria: the material (breathable and light for cardio, denser and tougher for strength training), the fit (close-fitting for performance, looser for comfort) and the level of support you need. Every Le Sport Français product page states the composition, fabric weight and recommended use so you can compare at a glance. If you are torn between two items, our France-based customer service will advise you within 24 business hours.

Question 2

En cours: which size should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Rely on the size guide on each product page rather than your usual clothing size: technical cuts fit differently from one brand to another. Measure your chest, waist and hips, then compare these measurements with the chart in centimetres. Between two sizes, choose the larger one for comfort and the smaller one if you want compressive support. Size exchanges are possible within 14 days, so a mistake is never final.

Question 3

En cours: which materials should I prefer?

Accepted Answer

Recycled polyester blended with elastane dominates modern sportswear: it wicks sweat, dries quickly and keeps its shape wash after wash. Cotton is pleasant at rest but holds moisture, so keep it for warm-ups and recovery. For strength training and cross-training, aim for a fabric of at least 200 g/m² with flat seams that can withstand friction from the bar and machines. For running and cardio, choose light mesh, ventilated panels and an anti-odour treatment.

Question 4

En cours: how do I care for my equipment so it lasts?

Accepted Answer

Wash at 30 °C maximum, inside out, on a delicate cycle with a reduced spin: this is the rule that most extends the life of technical textiles. Avoid fabric softener, which clogs breathable fibres, and the tumble dryer, which destroys elastane. Dry flat in the open air, away from direct heat. For accessories (belts, straps, resistance bands), wiping with a damp sponge followed by thorough air-drying is enough to prevent odours and premature wear.

Question 5

En cours: what budget should I plan for?

Accepted Answer

In this En cours selection, prices start at 25,00€ and 5 items are currently available. The right benchmark is not the purchase price but the cost per session: a €40 technical garment worn twice a week for two years works out at less than €0.20 per workout. We work directly, with no middleman, which lets us offer prices 20 to 40% below those of major retailers for comparable quality. Promotions are shown with the real original struck-through price, with no inflated reference price.

Question 6

What are the delivery times and shipping costs?

Accepted Answer

Question 7

How do returns and exchanges work?

Accepted Answer

Question 8

Why order from Le Sport Français rather than elsewhere?

Accepted Answer

Le Sport Français is a French brand that designs and selects equipment for regular athletes, not for shop windows. Every item is tested in real conditions before joining the catalogue, and product pages specify the exact composition, dimensions and limits of use. Customer service is based in France and replies in French, customer reviews are published unfiltered and payment is secure (bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal). You buy equipment chosen by athletes, with a reachable contact if anything goes wrong.

Question 9

Goal: building mass — which equipment should I choose?

Accepted Answer

When building mass, your equipment must secure heavy loads and preserve the full range of motion. The useful basics: a weightlifting belt to stabilise the trunk during squats and deadlifts, lifting straps so grip strength no longer limits back work, and knee sleeves to protect the joints on heavy sets. For clothing, choose T-shirts and tank tops cut wide at the shoulders in a dense fabric that keeps its shape, and joggers or shorts with an elasticated waist that do not restrict hip flexion.

Question 10

Goal: weight loss and cardio — what do I need?

Accepted Answer

When aiming to lose weight, you string together long, sweaty sessions: breathability and moisture management come first. Opt for light, quick-drying fabrics, flat seams that prevent chafing, and sports bras or T-shirts with ventilated zones. Add a skipping rope, resistance bands and a mat to do HIIT at home without heavy equipment. A water bottle and a microfibre towel complete the kit so you can keep going for 45 minutes without a break.

Question 11

Goal: strength and powerlifting — which accessories are essential?

Accepted Answer

In powerlifting, each accessory plays a precise mechanical role. A rigid 10 mm belt increases intra-abdominal pressure and secures the lower back, wrist wraps stabilise the joint on the bench press, and knee sleeves provide a controlled rebound at the bottom of the squat. Add chalk or liquid grip to stop slipping, and straps for high-rep deadlift sets. If you are aiming for competition, check that your equipment meets the dimensions approved by the federations.

Question 12

Goal: endurance and running — what should I wear?

Accepted Answer

For running and endurance, weight and thermoregulation come before everything else. An effective outfit combines a breathable mesh top, shorts or tights with a wide, non-compressive waistband and secure pockets, and technical anti-blister socks. In winter, add a light windproof layer rather than one thick garment: layering wicks sweat away much better. On long runs, compression sleeves improve muscle comfort and recovery.

Question 13

Goal: mobility, flexibility and recovery — what equipment?

Accepted Answer

Recovery is what lets you string training weeks together without injury. A foam roller and trigger point balls release tension after heavy sessions, while resistance bands are used to work on hip and shoulder mobility before exercise. A thick mat makes stretching and floor work genuinely comfortable. Ten minutes of mobility a day is enough to gain range of motion and improve the technical quality of your movements.

Question 14

New to the gym: where should I start?

Accepted Answer

If you are just starting out, do not buy everything at once. Begin with two complete outfits (breathable top, comfortable bottoms, technical socks), a pair of shoes suited to your training and a water bottle. Then, week by week, add the accessories that address a real limitation: straps when your grip gives out before your back, a belt when your squat loads become significant, knee sleeves if your joints feel uncomfortable. This gradual approach avoids piling up useless kit and focuses your budget on what really helps you.
